No Boat, No Problem!  Chicago Yacht Club provides a unique membership experience right off Lake Shore Drive. We are here to get you on the water. From sportsmanship to friendship, from our ships to yours, there's always so much to do and opportunities to get involved at the Chicago Yacht Club. While CYC is dedicated to our on-the-water membership groups: racing sail, cruising sail and powerboat; we also have an active volunteer base and robust social event calendar.

We offer sailboat, paddle board and kayak rentals for our members. When you become a member, you are invited to meet and learn from fellow power and sail enthusiasts, take lessons at our Sailing School for adults and juniors,  join a committee, and socialize with friends and family on land or in the waters of Lake Michigan and beyond.

Applying for a membership at Chicago Yacht Club requires a current member sponsor in good standing as well as an endorsement by one additional active member. If you are not acquainted with a current member, our Membership Director can facilitate an introduction. Prospective members are also required to meet with our Admissions Committee for an interview. APPLICATION PROCESS

To begin your voyage with Chicago Yacht Club, please complete the inquiry form below. Our Membership Director will reach out to you with more information. Once your application is complete, our Admissions Committee will invite you for an interview to learn about your interests and tell you more about our Club. Following your Admissions interview, the Board of Directors will formally vote on your membership approval. Once the Board has approved and the initiation fee is paid, your account will be activated so you can enjoy the Chicago Yacht Club. The process takes from four to six weeks.
