The Chicago Yacht Club Annual Cruise for the Sight Impaired sponsored by Wintrust will take place on Wednesday, August 21 at Monroe Station. We have over 100 participants including sight-impaired adults arriving from The Chicago Lighthouse at Monroe Station at 11 a.m. After lunch on the patio, we take our guests for a cruise on the lake in a convoy of boats and are back by 2 p.m. Their excitement makes this a truly a rewarding experience for all who participate!

The volunteers join our guests for hamburgers on the patio, followed by a refreshing cruise on the lake. The guests are thrilled with their adventure onto the lake, and they relive the experience through group discussions throughout the year, after they return home. A good time is had by all, including the volunteers who are able to offer such great enjoyment to a deserving population who otherwise would never get out on the lake.
