FERRAND COGNAC:
AN EXCEPTIONAL VINEYARD, 100% GRANDE CHAMPAGNE – 1ER CRU DE COGNAC
The vines that give Pierre Ferrand its distinctive style are planted on the Angeac terroir in the heart of Grande Champagne, considered the Premier Cru de Cognac. Angeac-Champagne is part of what connoisseurs call the “Golden Triangle”, a highly reputed micro-terroir comprising the best parcels of Grande Champagne. The extremely chalky soil of the rolling landscape gives the grapes the qualities and the necessary acidity to make very good wines that will produce very fine cognacs.

A menu will be paired with the following cognacs:
1840:
An aromatic cognac of juicy grapes followed by floral and blossom notes with a hint of cedar. A clean, yet warm flavor, acacia tree, fig, with a sweet honey and spice finish.
Ambre:
10% Colombard, 90% Ugni Blanc
Hints of violet and rose, apricot and prune on the palette, with a bold finish
Reserve:
Range up to 20 years, one year in banyuls cask
Dominate notes are red fruit, strawberry, walnut, cinnamon spice, full bodied spirit
10 Generations:
Age ranges up to 25 years, one year aged in Sauternes Casks
Notes of spice cake, orange blossom, baked pear and clove, with a round and full mouthfeel
Selecion des Anges:
25-35 year blend
Notes of candied fruit with spice and toasted nuts, nutmeg and cedar, rich chocolate
