MEET THE FLEET DINNER
Saturday, April 18th | 6 p.m. | Monroe Station
Featuring
Cameron Davis, Commissioner
Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Great Chicago
Past CEO/President – Alliance for the Great Lakes
Senior Advisor – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 2009 – 2017
All Chicago Yacht Club members and their guests are invited to join the Cruising Sail Fleet for our annual Meet the Fleet dinner. Meet fleet members and learn of our exciting calendar of upcoming social, on-the-water and community service events. The evening promises a great dinner and opportunity to learn of the potential threats to Lake Michigan, summer home to many of us. Our featured speaker will address current issues impacting the lake and lakeshore and answer our questions regarding future impacts on boating and living around Lake Michigan.
Cam has over three decades of experience working with Federal and local agencies to protect the Great Lakes. He has been a Commissioner of the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago since 2018. Between 2009 and 2017 he was the “Great Lakes Czar” at the U.S. EPA, coordinating the work of 11 federal departments, including coordinating Great Lakes policy and more than $2 billion in investments for contaminated sediment cleanups, invasive species prevention, habitat restoration, runoff reduction, and related water resource matters.
