Starting - This seminar examines the strategy and tactics of Starting. Topics include starting philosophy, pre-start planning, picking a place to start, the importance of line bias, using a line sight, current, defending your hole, making a final approach, coming off the line, troubleshooting, evaluating risk, key racing rules and more!


Mark Rounding -
This seminar covers the techniques, tactics and racing rules that apply when rounding marks. Topics include turning mechanics, boat-on-boat tactics, strategic vs. tactical roundings, exit strategies, rounding a gate mark, how to finish ahead of nearby boats, everything you need to know about mark-room and more!

David Dellenbaugh is the publisher, editor and author of Speed & Smarts, the racing newsletter. He was the tactician and starting helmsman on America3 during her successful defense of the America's Cup in 1992 and sailed as tactician in three other America's Cup campaigns from 1986 to 2007. David is also a Lightning world champion, two-time Congressional Cup winner, seven-time Thistle national champion, two-time winner of the Canada's Cup, three-time Prince of Wales U.S. match racing champion and past winner of the U.S. Team Racing Championship for the Hinman Trophy.
