CSF OPEN LADIES' SKIPPER RACE
Saturday, June 23rd at Monroe Station
11:30 a.m. Skipper's Meeting

Ladies,

Are you interested in competing in a quick, fun sailboat racing event at the Chicago Yacht Club? The Ladies Skipper Race is open to ALL Chicago Yacht Club sailboats –that are skippered and helmed by a woman. The Ladies Skipper Race has been hosted exclusively by and for the Cruising Sail Fleet since 1990. This year, for the first time, we invite all women of Chicago Yacht Club to compete. Whether you are a cruiser or a racer, be at the helm for a quick casual buoy race on Saturday, June 23rd at Monroe Station

You can race on your own boat with your own crew. You can crew for another female skipper on her boat. Crew can be a mix of men and women, but again, a lady skipper must be at the helm the entire race.

This is a casual buoy race (no crowded start lines, no shouting, no spinnaker – just plain fun on the water) taking perhaps an hour or so (depending on wind and weather.) There will be a Lady Skipper's Meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Monroe Station to provide details of the race and answer any questions. The race will begin shortly thereafter. We will rejoin at Monroe Station after the race to celebrate.

This event is part of a great Fleet Review weekend. We hope you will extend your fun and stay for both the Associates Dock Party Saturday night and the Fleet Review activities on Sunday.

VERY IMPORTANT – YOU MUST REGISTER TO BE ENTERED! Simply click on the Register link above and answer a few short and easy questions about your boat. There is no entry fee for this race. You do not need a handicap rating for your boat, the Race Committee will create one for you. Registration deadline is Friday, June 15, 2018.
