ANNUAL CRUISE TO HAMMOND
Saturday, July 7th - Sunday, July 8th

Join your fellow members for the Annual Cruise to Hammond, Indiana which will take place Saturday, July 7th – Sunday, July 8th. It’s Venetian Night in Hammond where there is something for everyone to do! All fleets Sail & Power are participating, and you can easily reach Hammond by either water or land. Bring your family and friends for a fun-filled weekend!
Friday, July 6th
Start your evening off right with the All Club Dock Party that kicks off at 6 p.m. at Monroe Station with fabulous food, drinks and live entertainment.

Saturday, July 7th
- All Fleets and Land Cruisers will make their way down to Hammond, including participating in the Hamilton Cup and a Power Fleet Predicted Log.
- The Hamilton Cup will be awarded to the highest finishing Chicago Yacht Club boat in the Gold Star Charity Regatta hosted by Jackson Park Yacht Club on Saturday. Once you finish the race you can motor or leisurely sail the short remaining distance to Hammond. The registration fee is $55. Click Here to Register for the Gold Star Regatta.
- Dinner will be at the Hammond Yacht Club at 6 p.m. catered by Freddy’s Steakhouse followed by the Venetian Night celebration which includes live entertainment, dancing, decorated boats, and fireworks! $35 inclusive per person.
Sunday, August 6th
Breakfast will be served at the Hammond Yacht Club at 8 a.m. on Sunday morning, before we head back to Chicago. Special Bloody Mary’s will also be served. If you are planning on attending breakfast, Click Here.

Attention Power Boaters
We are having a Predicted Log contest for the Annual Cruise to Hammond. This is an 'on your honor' contest where you will email or text your name and estimated time for the trip in hours minutes and seconds. Upon arrival you will email or text your name and your actual time in the same format.
A start and finish point have been prepared below:
We will start at navigation point 41deg 52.799N. 087deg 35.515W South end of Monroe break water.
End at far end of Hammond break wall at 41 deg 43.598N 087deg 35.515W
Total distance between waypoints is 11.80 miles
Enter the above waypoint in your GPS and predict your time of arrival. The boat closest to predicted time wins. All electronic equipment can be used. Safe boating rules apply. Please submit your name and predicted time to Ed Falkenhayn at [email protected] or text to (847) 471-5413.
The winner will receive a Chicago Yacht Club award flag. This will give you confidence in entering the last official Predicted Log contest held on August 18, 2018.
