North American Challenge CupAugust 6 - August 9, 2010Three classes will compete: Singlehanded class - 2.4mR – Bring your own boat or borrow Doublehanded class – Freedom 20 – Boats supplied. Triplehanded class – Sonar – Bring your own boat or borrow Our regatta has grown substantially over the last few years, and that growth is not slowing. We will have a class for our two-person teams in the Freedom Independence 20 class. Both the disabled and able bodied can now be eligible for the 2.4. With regards to the Sonar, at least one crew member must be classified under the 2009-2012 IFDS Functional Classification and Procedure or under the 2010 NACC Classification form. The single sailor class was first added in 1999, and is proving quite popular. The Sonar class was added in 2007 and we believe will continue to be popular, as both the 2.4mR and Sonar classes are used by Paralympics competitors. In addition, there are boats in excellent condition available to borrow from the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation. American Airlines is providing plane tickets for this year’s event. Local transportation, meals, social functions, are complimentary features of this tremendous event.
